Where do I go when I report for my shift?

Volunteer Check-In is located near the front entrance at the maintenance building (map will be provided)

Please arrive at the Volunteer Check-In at least 30 minutes before your shift start time so that it gives you enough time to sign in and make it to your assigned location. We do not offer volunteer lockers, please leave valuables at home.

Each volunteer role comes with a job description. Sometimes, like with admission gate staff, your responsibilities may vary based on our overall needs. If you have questions or encounter issues with your assigned task, don’t hesitate to reach out to the Volunteer Coordinator for clarification.

Volunteer and staff parking will be communicated with you at the mandatory safety training session on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 @ 6 PM at Draughon-Miller Central Texas Regional Airport.

Please return to Volunteer Check-In and sign out. If you intend on enjoying the event you will need to redeem your paper tickets for a wristband at the pre-sale ticket window. Also, please note that you will need to remove your volunteer t-shit after your shift is completed.

Only trained volunteers should be in the designated volunteering area during their shifts. No one, including small children, should enter the booth or volunteer area unless they are scheduled volunteers. While volunteering, it’s important to focus completely on your tasks, serve attendees promptly and courteously, and fulfill your share of responsibilities. Please refrain from bringing children while volunteering.

Cell phones are not permitted during shifts. Though cell phones are an important communication tool, they may also be a distraction to other volunteers and visitors. Please turn cell phones off or set on vibrate while you are on duty.

If you are volunteering for two or more shifts back-to-back, please speak with the Volunteer Coordinator about scheduling a 15-minute break.

Found items should be turned in at the main ticket gate. Lost and found articles will be collected periodically and taken to the event command center. Wallets, keys, and other valuables may be claimed during the event or after the event by calling the City of Temple Parks & Recreation office at 254-298-5690. Central Texas AirFest is not responsible for lost items. Items will be held for 30 days.

All photos taken at the event may be used for future promotional material. By signing up as a volunteer you hereby give consent for the event to use your photo.
